Chicago

If you can't be famous, be infamous.

Roxie Hart (Renée Zellweger), a housewife in 1920s Chicago, dreams of stardom and will do anything to get it. She lands in jail for murder alongside Velma Kelly (Catherine Zeta-Jones), a vaudeville star, and together they hire the slick lawyer Billy Flynn (Richard Gere) to spin their crimes into spectacle. In Chicago, the real performance is the trial itself, and innocence matters far less than who can command the crowd.
