“You will know her name.”

Carrie White (Chloë Grace Moretz) discovers she has telekinetic power the night of her high school prom, after years of abuse from her fundamentalist mother Margaret (Julianne Moore). A moment of kindness from Sue Snell (Gabriella Wilde) and Tommy Ross (Ansel Elgort) seems to offer escape, but the night turns violent and Carrie's gift becomes a weapon. What matters most is whether she can reach for connection or if rage and fear destroy it.
