Blue Jasmine

Jasmine (Cate Blanchett) is a Manhattan socialite whose husband Hal (Alec Baldwin) has just been arrested for fraud, obliterating their wealth overnight. She moves into her working-class sister Ginger's (Sally Hawkins) cramped San Francisco apartment, unable to live any other way. What she learns, slowly and against her will, is that reinvention requires admitting what you've broken, and some damage cannot be undone by pretense alone.
