Black Swan

“"I just want to be perfect."”

Nina Sayers (Natalie Portman), a disciplined ballet dancer at New York City Ballet, wins the lead role in Swan Lake but must master both the graceful white swan and the seductive black swan. Her director Thomas Leroy (Vincent Cassel) pushes her toward a darkness she doesn't recognize in herself. By opening night, the line between performance and fracture blurs until Nina cannot tell.
