Malorie Hayes (Sandra Bullock) is trapped in a house with strangers when an invisible force begins hunting outside, killing anyone who sees it. She blindfolds the windows, rations supplies, and watches her companions fracture under confinement and dread. To survive, she will have to move through the world sightless, guiding two children downriver to a rumored sanctuary, knowing that one uncovered eye means death for all three.
