Beowulf

Beowulf (Ray Winstone) is a Geatish warrior who arrives in Denmark to fight Grendel, a monster tearing through King Hrothgar's (Anthony Hopkins) mead hall. He strips down and meets the creature unarmed, a choice that sets off a chain of debts he never quite sees coming. Zemeckis builds the battle in motion-capture, rendering each muscled frame and shadow with a vividness that pushes the ancient story into pure spectacle.
