A Knight's Tale

William Thatcher (Heath Ledger) is a blacksmith's son who forges papers, takes a dead knight's name, and enters the tournament circuit to win gold and glory. He travels with Geoffrey Chaucer (Paul Bettany) and faces off against the ruthless Count Adhemar (Rufus Sewell) in jousts across Europe. Helgeland throws anachronistic rock songs into a medieval world, but what stays with William is the cost of the lie he is living.
