A Bronx Tale

“One man lives in the neighborhood, another man owns it. A devoted father battles the local crime boss for the life of his son.”

Calogero (Francis Capra), a nine-year-old in the Bronx, witnesses a murder and meets Sonny LoSpecchio (Chazz Palminteri), the mafia boss who committed it. His father Lorenzo (Robert De Niro) is a bus driver who works honestly and wants better for his son, but Sonny becomes a second father, teaching him the streets and their unspoken codes. De Niro, in his directorial debut, watches the boy grow caught between two men and two worlds, the pull of each one real.
