Henry Roth (Adam Sandler) is a charming marine veterinarian in Hawaii who dates tourists, knowing they'll leave and he won't have to commit. He meets Lucy Whitmore (Drew Barrymore), an art teacher with short-term memory loss; she wakes each morning convinced it's the same day, with no memory of him. Henry decides to win her over again tomorrow, and the day after that, building the same first conversation fresh each time.
