London empties after a virus spreads through blood and saliva, turning the infected into rage-filled hunters. Jim (Cillian Murphy) wakes from a coma to find the city silent, and he falls in with Selena (Naomie Harris), a woman who has learned to trust no one. As they move toward the promise of a safe zone, they discover that survival means choosing between the infected outside and the threats that other people pose.
