Schmidt (Jonah Hill) and Jenko (Channing Tatum) are washed-up undercover cops who want a second chance at real detective work. They go deep into a high school to bust a drug ring, but the operation fractures when Jenko finds he actually belongs there and Schmidt does not. By the time they close in on who's running the operation, they have to figure out what friendship costs when you want different things.
