1922
“Your darkest secrets never stay buried.”
Wilfred James (Thomas Jane) is a Nebraska farmer in 1922 who sees his wife Arlette (Molly Parker) as an obstacle to keeping his land intact. He persuades his son Henry (Dylan Schmid) to help him kill her, a crime they commit together in the dark. What follows is a descent into rot and madness, as guilt takes root in the farmhouse and spreads like the rats that gnaw through the walls.
